Kristen Bell Doesn’t Think a Veronica Mars Movie Will Ever Happen

In March, show creator Rob Thomas gave an update on the developing Veronica Mars movie, stating that “while the pitch went well and I slip on’t think the movie’s dead, right at this moment it’s looking depressing.” We haven’face to face heard anything subsequently to, and assumed that it’s fallen into the deep dark depths of development heck.  Ad now the star of the series, Kristen Bell, is finally conceding that a film behest in likelihood never happen.

Bell tells EW at the Saturn Awards:

I don’t think it exercise volition ever happen, and here’s wherefore: Rob Thomas and I had a powwow, and we were both 100 percent on board. We took our proposal to Warner Bros. and Joel Silver told us that there is no enthusiasm to cause to be a Veronica Mars movie, and that is unfortunately a roadblock we cannot compete with. Maybe if we bombard them with letters? Maybe they will change their tune.

Doesn’t sound good at all. I have a feeling that we haven’face to face heard the hindmost of this plot, and eventually things potency come in company … but will it be too late? I’ve said this before, but I think this requires repeating: How old could Veronica be before the concept just turns into your typical detective mystery?

Part of the appeal of the show to me was the unique spin of setting the detective story in the world of High School and College. And the only way to bring the story back to the school is to post it at a high school reunion… and I’m not digging that idea. And as plenteous as fans are craving for another fix, I’mellay not sure the story of a 30-year-old Veronica Mars might be altogether that interesting. And I say that as a use a fan upon of the series. Hey, we’ll always have the DVDs, right?
