New Avatar image released

As the Avatar release date creeps ever closer, we’re getting more and more looks at the movie.

The latest might not be as exciting as the footage screened in Amsterdam, but it’session probably more thrilling for what it represents than what it is.

The San Diego Comic Con is for aye sponsored by one big film, and this year it’s Avatar.

To celebrate, the banners that hang from the incorporated town’s street lamps feature one of the Na’vi (if we had to guess, we’d say Zoe Saldana’session Neytiri.

And while it’s hardly a clear shot of her, it signifies that Avatar will definitely have more sort of presence at the convention.

What that will be has not been announced, but with Warners showing 3D footage from Final Destination 3, it’s more than suitable James Cameron will bring… something. Hopefully the Amsterdam Expo momentous at the real least.

If you were planning to go but haven’t got your pass yet – bad news, it’s tardy since been sold out. But fear not: totalfilm.com power of choosing be in that place for the whole thing and you be possible to come us on twitter.

After all, it’s about while Avatar started gearing up the publicity machine…
